Our physiotherapy practice is open to assist our patients during the COVID-19 outbreak. We understand the health risks and have therefore taken a wide range of security measures to safeguard our patients and staff.
As an essential service, we have been available throughout the various levels of lockdown with a single exception – during level 5, we only saw emergencies in the rooms if we could not help them through means of an online consultation (teletherapy). From level 4 onwards we are available for our normal face-to-face consultations in the rooms and we still offer the option of an online consultation, should any person wish to remain at home.
We have made a few changes in the rooms to limit any risk of spreading COVID-19:
- Each patient needs to declare their health status (relating to travel and flu-like symptoms) when booking an appointment.
- Patients are required to bring 2 towels to avoid any sharing of linen.
- Our appointment times are spaced further apart to allow the rooms to air out before the next patient arrives.
- We ask patients not to arrive ahead of their appointment time.
- As expected, all patients and therapists are sanitizing regularly and wearing masks throughout, in addition to the contact areas being sanitized after each patient consult.
- You will notice the enormous sneeze-screen installed in reception.
- And lastly, we prefer EFT payments to cash/card, to limit any additional time spent in the rooms.
If you have any questions or concerns about your safety whilst visiting our premises, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will gladly explain how our safety measures will protect you and discuss any concerns you may have.
Your health and physical wellbeing should be a priority deserving of quality care. Make sure to discuss any concerns you may have directly with your preferred physiotherapist, so that you can receive the appropriate guidance for your unique situation.
